THE BATTLE GOES ON! Ordinary Equality digs into the fascinating and little-known history of the women and queer people who have helped shape the U.S. Constitution for more than 200 years. Based on author Kate Kelly’s acclaimed podcast of the same name, Ordinary Equality recounts a story centuries in the making. From before the Constitution was even drafted to the modern day, she examines how and why constitutional equality for women and Americans of all marginalized genders (#LGBTQIA) has been systematically undermined for the past 100-plus years, and then calls us all to join the current movement to put it back on the table and get it across the finish line.
MUSIC: a chatty little number by Cord Ravenswood, our Peculiar in the Field, talking about Hawks and Doves!
Join us THURSDAY MARCH 23rd at 7pm!
AND don’t FORGET:
We have a pro-rated membership drive happening right now. The proceeds help us fund the rest of the series, and earns you green-room privileges with favorite authors, unique PECULIAR merch, and much more! (That means VIP events like Ed Yong and Mary Roach, too.) It’s a huge help to our little enterprise, and we have only 15 left!
